| Project Background | On 23rd March 2020 President Cyril Ramaphosa announced measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The need for a separate area to treat Covid-19 patients was prioritized by the management of Mossel Bay Hospital. The extension of the Emergency Medical Services, that was under construction, was identified as a suitable area as it is linked to the main hospital, but also has a separate access whereby patients do not need to enter the main hospital area. |
